Elsa Pabon
(nee Rivera), 76, of Hammonton,
died Tuesday, August 31, at Virtua Health
Systems in Berlin.
Born in Villalba, Puerto Rico, she formerly
lived in Mays Landing. Mrs. Pabon enjoyed
playing bingo, doing crafts, and cooking for
family and friends. She especially liked to
spoil her precious grandchildren whom she
adored.
Predeceased by: grandchildren, Sadie Pabon and
Savannah Pabon; sister, Elide Roman. Surviving
her are: husband, Porfirio Pabon; children,
Enrique Pabon (Dorothy) of Hammonton, Porfirio
Pabon (Debbie) of Cape May, Lillian Dinan (Tim)
of Lansdale, Ivan Pabon (Millie) of Hammonton,
Ray Pabon (Maria) of Vineland, Geraldo Pabon
(Sherrie) of Lindenwold, Maribel Pabon of
Hammonton, Edward Pabon (Michele) of
Williamstown; sister, Digna Negron of Puerto
Rico; brothers, Enrique Rivera, Israel Rivera
both of Puerto Rico; 21 grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of
Christian Burial on Saturday, September 4, at
St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St.
Joseph’s followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre

Alice Grasso,
83, died August 30, 2010, at Atlantic City
Medical Center.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident.
Predeceased by: husband, Donato. Surviving her
are: daughters, Mary Ann Meehan and her husband
James of Medford, Shirley Grasso and her husband
Nick Karivalis of Elm, Anna O’Hare of Elm, Joyce
Bearint and her husband Edward of Washington
Township; brother, Isadore Capaldi of Nesco; 13
grandchildren.

Carmella
(Mildred) C. Rubba
(nee Cappuccio), 74, of Hammonton, died
peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, August
31, 2010.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a resident of
Hammonton her entire life. She was a parishioner
of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish of St. Martin
de Porres Church. She was retired and was last
employed at Jacobs Business Supply in Hammonton.
Mrs. Rubba loved music and played the guitar and
wrote some songs. She also loved her cats and
enjoyed working with crafts. She was involved
and participated with her husband with antique
cars.
Surviving her are: husband, Russell R. Rubba
Jr.; sisters, Grace Jacobs, Anna Templeton;
brothers, James Cappuccio, Anthony (Terry)
Cappuccio all of Hammonton, Angelo (Ida)
Cappuccio of Sweetwater; several nieces and
nephews.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of
Christian Burial on Friday, September 3, at St.
Martin de Porres Church followed by burial at
Greenmount Cemetery.

Rocco J.
Fichetola Sr., 84, of
Hammonton passed away on September 4, 2010 at
his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Elm he was a lifelong area resident. He
was the owner of Rocky’s Farm Market in Mays
Landing. He was an U.S. Army Veteran of the
Korean War. Mr. Fichetola was a member of St.
Martin de Porres RC Church where he served an
usher. He was a member of the FA Funston Post
No. 186 of the American Legion in Hammonton and
he was a charter member of Bell Bay Hunting
Club. He enjoyed working in his vegetable
garden, making wine, canning, making wild cherry
brandy and sharing all of these with his family
and friends. Mr. Fichetola especially enjoyed
spending time with his precious grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his three brothers,
Joseph, Ralph and Angelo, and his sister Mary.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Fichetola
(nee Simonetti), one daughter, Denise Fichetola
Brown of Mays Landing, one son, Rocco “Rick”
Fichetola Jr. and his wife, Anna Marie of
Hammonton, three grandchildren, Matthew
Fichetola and Michael Fichetola both of
Hammonton, and Deanna Brown of Mays Landing, one
brother, Carmen Fichetola and his wife Gail of
Mays Landing, two sisters, Rita Dowzicky and her
husband, Bill of Hatboro, Pa., and Lucie
Fichetola and her husband Jim Tidwell of Egg
Harbor City and his former son-in-law, Kevin
Brown of Dorothy .
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his
viewing on Wednesday, September 8 from 6:30 p.m.
to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday after 9 a.m. at the
Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in
Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated Thursday, September 9 at 10 a.m. at
St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St.
Martin DePorres, 129 Park Avenue in Hammonton.
Entombment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in
Hammonton.

Purvis, 55, of
Hammonton, died Monday, August 30, 2010, at
Cooper Hospital in Camden.
Born in Hammonton, he was a life long resident.
He worked as a fork lift driver at the Macrie
Brothers Blueberry Farm in Hammonton. Mr. Purvis
was a good mechanic and loved to work on cars.
Surviving him are: estranged wife, Linda;
mother, Rose Roby of Hammonton; long time
companion, Denise Silagato; daughter, Christine
Purvis and her friend Phillip of Egg Harbor
Township; sister, Linda Tomaszewski (Andrew) of
Vineland.
Relatives and friends attended Catholic Prayer
services on Thursday, September 2, at the
Landolfi Funeral Home followed by burial at Holy
Sepulchre Cemetery.

Ronald
McNeely, Sr. born on
October 4, 1937 in Philadelphia passed away on
September 4, 2010 after contending with various
illnesses.
He married Ester Howard on November 1, 1958 in
Hammonton.
He was predeceased by his father, Rudolph
McNeely, mother, Pauline, stepfather Artis
Abney, brother Rudolph and sisters Dorothy and
Bernice.
Surviving him are his wife: Esther Mae McNeely;
two sons: Ronald McNeely, Jr. (Doreen) of
Wilmington, Del.; Seth McNeely (Deborah) of
Patterson, NJ; two daughters: Esther Reynolds of
Chesilhurst, NJ and Melinda Cruz (Maximino) of
Landisville, NJ, seven grandchildren, seven
great grandchildren, two sisters, and a host of
nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Services will be private and held at the
convenience of the family.

Charles A.
Baldi Sr., 70 of
Hammonton died Sunday September 5, 2010 at Penn
Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident
there. Before retiring, Mr. Baldi worked for
Gardiner’s Express in Hammonton. He was a member
of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters
Local No. 676 of Collingswood, where he served
as a shop steward, Inskip Antlers in Winslow,
Duster’s Rifle Club and Gossamer’s Gun Club. He
was an avid New York Giants fan and he enjoyed
playing the organ, and vacationing in Maine.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles D.
and Anna M. Baldi. He is survived by his beloved
wife, Charlene A. Baldi (nee Dick), two sons,
Charles A. Baldi Jr. (Tina) and Damon Baldi
(Dawn) all of Hammonton, two daughters, Dawn
Baldi (Tim) of Port Charlotte, FL, and Toni Ann
Mazza (Nick) of Hammonton, one sister, Barbara
Ann Blankenship of Collings Lakes, seven
grandchildren, Heather (Jake), Victoria,
Domenic, Charles, Erica, Jaclyn, and Hailey, and
two great grandchildren, Hannah and Gianna.
A viewing will be held Saturday, September 11,
from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Carnesale Funeral
Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass
of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday,
September 11, 11:30 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel
Parish Church of St. Joseph’s, 226 French Street
in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Holy
Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton.

Mary M. Junker
of Hammonton, passed away on September 3, 2010
at Innova in Hammonton. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa.
she lived in Elmtowne, Winslow Twp. for many
years.
Mary was a member of the Elmtowne Assn. as a
welcome lady and a member of The Presbyterian
Church of Hammonton. She loved to play bridge
and bingo.
Mary is the wife of the late Carl Junker, Jr.
Surviving are her daughter Stefanie J. White and
her husband Gordon of Hammonton and son Lance
Junker and his wife Andrea of Fayetteville, Pa.;
grandchildren Kevin, Christopher, Joel and
Gretchen Junker, Melissa Silipena and Geoffrey
White and great-grandchildren Christopher Jr.,
Katelyn, Kyle, Cooper, August and Edward III.

Kathryn J.
LeFevre, 75, of
Hammonton passed away Tuesday at her residence.
Born in Morgantown, W.V. she lived in Hammonton
since 1964. She retired from Whitehall
Laboratories of Hammonton.
She is survived by her three children: Gregory
LeFevre (Judy) of Voorhees; Jeff LeFevre of
Linwood; LaShelle Curcio (Mike) of Hammonton;
her four grandchildren: Michael Curcio, Jr.,
Kearstin Curcio, Christopher LeFevre and Jeffery
LeFevre, Jr.; her mother: Kathryn Oliverio of
West Virginia; her former husband Ron LeFevre of
Vineland; three sisters: Mary Frances Rivenbark
of North Carolina; Philomena Ryan and Patricia
Reid both of West Virginia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
Friday, September 10 at 11 a.m. in St. Mary of
Mt. Carmel Parish at St. Joseph’s Church, N.
Third St., Hammonton, where a visitation will be
held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will
follow in Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.
